2014 Crossfit Glendale Throwdown and 2nd Year Anniversary Celebration !!!
Time: Competition 9am-12pm BBQ Celebration 2pm-7pm
This is going to be a totally fun event, and everyone is encouraged to participate. Plan on it running from 9 am till noon. We will get some food and hang out and celebrate CFG 2nd Anniversary, but first we are going to do some work on 2 WODS and Championship. A couple quick reminders:
*In-House Partner Competition WOD’s:
WOD#1 “Jellyfish” 11min Time Cap Run 1mile then AMRAP Burpee Box Jump Overs.
At the call of “3-2-1-Go”, the team starts running. As soon as one athlete completes the mile run they begin Burpee Box Jump Over.
You do not need to wait for your teammate to complete the run before starting the Burpee bo jump over.* One athlete works at a time*
WOD#2 1-Rep Max Barbell Complex (Clean+HangSquatClean+FrontSquat) in 10 Mins.
The team with a single barbell has 10 minutes to have each individual establish a 1-rep max BB Complex. At the call of “3-2-1-Go”, the team can load the barbell and take as many attempts as they wish in the 10 minutes.
WOD#3= Championship WOD Top 5 teams of Women and Men will advance.
*No regular classes! Try to be here by 8:45 to start getting ready, heats will start at 9:30.
*This will be run like a competiton, in heats. You will be responsible to get yourselves warm-ed up, and must be ready to go when your heat is on.
*We will have people judging and keeping scores, but again this will be a FUN EVENT! Nothing too serious.
*Bring some recovery fuel, or “food” for in between WODs.
