We tend to read the things that we want the most but experience the least, such as, things on happiness, love, financial freedom and enlightenment. The same can be said about our training. We watch Youtube Olympic lifting and CrossFit videos on how others lift and perform, but we experience very little satisfaction with our own performance. Why is this? As the saying goes “we live vicariously through other people’s lives.” Recently, an athlete approached me and said, “Coach, how do you do it?” In my mind I had no idea what they were talking about. They then said, “You seem to have it all figured out.” This made me laugh in loud. I kind of brushed it off but thought about it more as the conversation continued. When I had time to reflect, I gave what they said some serious thought. This brings to question…what ideas have you planted in the minds of others whether you intended to do so or not?
