Benchmark! “Barbara” 5 sets, each for time: 20 Pullups 30 Pushups 40 Situps 50 Squats Rest precisely 3 minutes between sets. Post time to complete each set to comments. There is a 40 minute time cap on this workout. Scale accordingly. Scaling Pullups
- Scale reps accordingly (i.e. max in 1-2 minute)
Notes
- The goal of Barbara is to perform each individual set as fast as you possibly can with as little resting/breaking as possible during the set…keep moving!
- The intention is for it to be five very hard 2-5 minute efforts, with just enough time to recover between efforts to hit each as hard as possible
- If the numbers are a bit aggressive for you and each set is taking longer than 5 minutes, consider scaling the reps to something more manageable (i.e. 10,20,30,40)
- If done correctly, this will be a painful experience that you will likely not want to repeat anytime in the near future
