Obstacles By Coach Catherine Lewis Have you recently encountered a setback? Do you feel like every time you take one step forward, life pulls you two steps backward? Obstacles are a very real and important part of life. Everyone encounters challenges on their journeys. It is not the deterrent that is meaningful, but rather the way we respond to theses instances. Every time you are faced with an obstacle or challenge, you have the opportunity to dictate how you react. Do you attack the problem and try to take positives from the experience? Or, on the other hand, do you take pity on yourself and use it as a chance to make excuses? The first step to progress is making the switch of how we view and understand the challenging situations we encounter in life. Rather than seeing obstacles as unfortunate occurrences, we need to consider them as valuable opportunities for growth. Challenges provide us the chance to search deep within ourselves and find true strength and resilience. Without struggle, there can be no significant progress. The best things in life often take the most time and the most effort to achieve. Without obstacles and barriers along the way, our journeys would be too simple and less rewarding. Every experience in life happens for a reason. Some are clear and understandable. Others are less obvious and, therefore, sometimes more complex to comprehend and make sense of. Ultimately, we need to take our experiences – both good and bad – in stride. Change the way you look at the challenges life throws your way. Learn to embrace the struggle. Push yourself to be resilient and overcome what ever obstacles stand in the way of your goals and dreams. Most importantly, be relentless in your pursuit, regardless of any challenges you may face. “Challenges are simply opportunities. – When you encounter resistance, it means you are moving forward. So revel in the beauty of each challenging effort. Give your best to life, and life will return the favor many times over.” -Catherine ____________________________________________________________________ COS + GW Then…, Gymnasty Skill #1 Max Unbroken Push-ups (4 Sets) Rest :30 btw each set.
